TOWN BLOOMS: There's a splash of colour in Erith's town centre, thanks to the town forum's chairman Maisie Jamieson. She convinced Bexley Council to brighten up the town centre with hanging flower baskets. The displays have been paid for by the Bexley Thames-side Partnership.
WHERE IS HE?: A Sidcup man is trying to contact an old pal to invite him to a college reunion. Chris Francis has lost touch with Peter Clark who used to live in Mayplace Road West and was at the Stoke-on-Trent College of Art from 1964 to '67. MONEY WISE: With the introduction of the euro about to happen, staff and parents at St Columba's RC Boys school in Bexleyheath donated their unwanted foreign currency to Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice, which will change the money into sterling.
CHURCH BAZAAR: Christ Church, Erith, holds its Christmas bazaar in the church hall, Victoria Road, from 10am to 2pm. It will be opened by MP John Austin. Children can be photographed with Father Christmas.
LET'S REMEMBER: Bexley Community Bereavement Scheme holds its service of remembrance at St John Fisher Church in Thanet Road, Bexley Village this Saturday.
