Reference is made to the photo and article which appeared in the November 8 issue of the Guardian referring to the Nelson Hospital League of Friends raising funds for the purchase of a bladder scan machine.
The League of Friends is a very active organisation and has also donated other items to the Hospital over the years. We are however an ageing concern and are desperately in need of younger members to help carry on the work for the hospital.
We are particularly looking for volunteers who will be able to take over the duties of secretary and treasurer in due course. If anyone has recently retired and is looking for some part-time, worthwhile activity, they would be ideally suitable. For further details ring 020 8330 0636.
