My son recently had the most fantastic opportunity of attending the Hunting for Tigers golf day at World of Golf in New Malden, thanks to Danny Lubert.
My son arrived at the event a lively 10 year old at 10am and when we collected him at 3pm he was a very tired but excited little bear.
During the fun-filled day he was introduced to the excitement of putting and the golf range. He spent a very enjoyable day having expert tuition, with lots of fresh air and exercise, without it costing us a penny.
Being a single income family, certain things have to be overlooked, one being activities that cost a lot of money, but who is to say that because we are unable to afford it my son has not got the makings of a great sportsperson?
It would be so good if others would be willing to give local kids in ordinary schools with ordinary backgrounds a chance or even if Danny was given help to fund this sort of activity again, or possibly go into local schools and try to spot any budding sports stars of tomorrow.
