South Croydon Day Centre for the over-60s celebrated 20 years of relieving hundreds of pensioners of their loneliness this week.
Bingo, cards, music and talks provide the entertainment five days a week from 10am-4pm, with Wednesday's focusing on the hard of hearing.
For those unable to get to the centre without help, Dial-a-Ride and volunteer drivers provide transport to and from the centre.
A committee also organises day trips at various locations.
Co-ordinator Jill Jefferies said the centre welcomes new visitors and promises light refreshments and reasonably priced lunches.
