Unbeaten Finchley super bantamweight James Yelland is seeking to score his sixth win in seven bouts at Potters Bar-based promoter Jess Harding's show at York Hall, in Bethnal Green, on Wednesday.
Yelland learnt his trade as an amateur with Finchley and District ABC, as did Spencer Oliver, who turned pro and became European super bantamweight champion.
Victory over Welsh southpaw, Jason White, who has won four of his nine bouts, would see 26-year-old Yelland moving up to eight rounds. Though not a devastating puncher, he is a purist's delight with his skills.
In the top-of-the-bill fight, IBC light welterweight champion Stephen Smith defends his title against South African Oneboy Makhwelo.
The chief supporting bout is a British Masters lightweight clash between Brian Gentry (Morden) and Liam Maltby (Peterborough).
Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets cost £25 and £40 ringside. Call 01707 270 440 to book.
