A HIGH-TECH caf will be spreading festive cheer with a fundraising fair.
The Com Dot Caf's Christmas Fair, on December 1 from 10am to 1pm, is intended to raise money for new equipment at the community centre.
Fine crafts such as crystal jewellery and carved word blocks will be on sale in the Uxbridge College-supported facility in Byron Way, West Drayton, which now provides everything from computer courses to mother and baby services.
The caf hopes to use money raised to buy new computer equipment including disabled adapters.
Safer and more economical light bulbs are also available for the elderly at the centre with a supply of free low-energy bulbs which only need changing every 11 years.
Dave Williams, cafe project manager, said: "With these bulbs users don't have to climb onto chairs in the dark all the time to change them, which is a much safer option."
