Addiscombe travelled to Guildford to face Surrey University on Saturday and came away with three points to remain top of Surrey Men's Divison Two.
Addiscombe started slowly and after 15 minutes Surrey took advantage of poor defending to take the lead.
This sparked the Croydon side into action with Chris Reid driving down the left to cross for Van der Willnard to force a reverse stick flick high into the Surrey net.
Half-time gave Addiscombe a chance to rethink their approach to the game with manager David Thomas making some key changes.
The second period saw a different Addiscombe team with excellent long passing causing problems for the Surrey defence.
Addiscombe took the lead through Keith Yeates who flicked in a short corner.
Yeates made it three shortly after at another corner with a driven shot. Martin Stevens completed the scoring with 10 minutes to go with a smart turn and shot from the middle of the D.
The Second XI also faced Surrey University & completely dominated a one-sided game.
The end result of a 5-0 win was a fair reflection of a fine Addiscombe performance.
Dan Dorman (two), Scott Antony (two) and Simon Reay-Jones did the damage or Addiscombe.
The Thirds went down 4-2 against NPL Lensbury with Steve Curzon taking his seasons tally to 11 by scoring both of Addiscombe's goals.
In the ladies competition, Addiscombe's first XI remained unbeaten in league action with an excellent 3-0 win over Old Cranleighans thanks to a dominant forward line.
Goals from Anne Wyatt, Alison Antony and Carol Driver sealed the win which moves Addiscombe into third place in division 3A.
The second XI stayed top of Division Six with a resounding 8-2 win over Barnes Fives. In an entertaining game it was Addiscombe's clinical finishing which secured the points. Louise Dalton,Claire Messom and Nicky Carter bagged two goals apiece while Helen Hadland and Helen Squires completed the scoring.
