A teenage girl was subjected to a terrifying indecent assault in Norwood Junction this week as she walked home from work.
The 19-year-old victim was pounced on by her attacker as she walked through an alleyway between the train station and Belgrave Road at 6.10pm on Monday (November 19).
Her attacker, 6ft black man with shoulder length dreadlocks, held a blunt instrument to her neck as he pinned her to a wall, repeatedly asking her: "are you scared?"
He put his hand underneath her top,
attempted to undo her trousers and exposed himself to her. The suspect was eventually scared off when he heard footsteps of another pedestrian approaching them and ran off.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw the attacker, who is aged around 25 years, is of medium build and was wearing a jacket.
Anyone with information should contact PC Davison at the sexual offences unit at South Norwood police on 020 8649 1379.
