A HEXTABLE man has been fined £75 for kerb crawling.
Daniel Jon Wilson, 25, of Lower Road, Hextable, was found guilty at Medway Magistrates' Court last week.
He was arrested in New Road, Rochester, on November 18.
An amendment under the Sexual Offences Act 1985 now gives police officers the power to arrest people for kerb crawling.
Kent Police spokesman PC Sean O'Connor said: "This successful arrest is a result of the on-going Operation Quota which investigates prostitution and targets individuals who are involved in this unlawful activity.
"Offenders will now be bought into custody where their fingerprints and DNA samples will be taken."
