EDMONTON MP Andy Love has asked the government to take action in flood hit areas.
Mr Love has lodged written Parliamentary questions on flooding after Montagu Road residents revealed their concerns of a repeat of last year's disaster which forced 200 to evacuate.
In a recent meeting with insurance companies Mr Love said that they confirmed that certain parts of the country would be uninsurable unless the government addressed the increasing problems with flooding.
He said: "The government is clearly preparing its response, but in the meantime constituents like mine are feeling very vulnerable should we have a repeat of last year's heavy rainfall."
A government White Paper on flooding is due to be issued next year.
