WE are very disappointed to hear that funding has been refused for the Pump House in Walthamstow.
My children love it there and have been to most of the open days. They enjoy the old engines and old buses and it makes a wonderful afternoon out.
The children are fascinated by it all and ask lots of questions. The Friends of the Pump House go to a lot of trouble to stage these exhibitions and there is always something new. They are very helpful with the children's queries and even find out things for them.
It would be a great shame if all their new plans collapsed. I am sure a project showing transport heritage and the like would be popular in the borough. Look at Covent Garden Transport Museum, for example.
