YEAR 11 pupils at Mark Hall School, Harlow, took part in a two-day conference aimed at preparing them for life after they leave school next year.
The conference and workshop sessions were led by employees from 24 local and regional businesses including Nortel, Pearson Publishing and Glaxo SmithKline.
The aim was to encourage pupils to examine their own skills and achievements, make plans for higher education or further training and develop self confidence by gaining practical skills such as preparing a curriculum vitae and filling in a job application form.
