Imagine paying just over a pound to see a great comedian hard isn't it?

But this week the Roar With Laughter Club is offering four comedians for £5, and that includes two award-winners, a film star in the making and an Australian. And the Australian is an award winner as well!

The amazing line-up is Keith Dover, James Holmes, Steve Hughes and Natalie Haynes.

Keith Dover is by now a real veteran of the London comedy scene. He shot to fame winning the coveted Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year in 1989. He has been on TV in the BBC documentary Stand Up With Alan Davies.

On the verge of becoming a film star is James Holmes, who is described as being so camp he makes Julian Clary look like Clint Eastwood. This angst-ridden comic has recently finished filming the movie Lava.

Australian Steve Hughes came to England after winning second prize in the Australian Comedian of the Year. His engaging and laid-back style of comedy always leaves audiences wanting more.

Last but by no means least is Natalie Haynes, who in 1997 won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. Lively Haynes babbles her way through her ridiculous neuroses in an entertaining and uniquely-skewed routine. Her particularly peculiar set of phobias (opticians, deaf rapists, etc) proves a great source for her offbeat, cynical and politically incorrect material.

Holding it together is compere Ed Dewson, who is beating his fear of south-west London. See listings.
