Richard James was correct to criticise our councillors' arrogant ignorance about how much better Lambeth runs its open spaces than Wandsworth.
They have up to date management plans while the Tooting Commons Management Advisory Committee has been pressing for one for more than five years.
They have litter and poop scoop bins and even bins for discarded fishing tackle, but despite the perpetual publicity about our litter and rat problems, our missing ones are not even being replaced.
They have a decent events site - ours is in a truly disgraceful state after years of neglect.
Their councillors attend MAC meetings, but we haven't seen one for more than a year. The list is almost endless but our councillors just don't want to know.
Many MAC members put in a lot of effort in their own time to try and help while our councillors, who are paid, appear to do nothing. It's time they stopped talking nonsense and start to educate themselves about what really needs doing.
