The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is seeking to recruit more constables after admitting that black, Asian and other ethnic minorities are under represented.
The MPS has established positive action teams responsible for working closely with the recruitment branch in order to increase newcomers from minorities.
A recruitment day will take place in ASDA in Beddington Lane on November 30, from 10am to 6pm.
A spokesman for Sutton police said: "We are determined that the MPS respond to diversity in our communities and seek recruits from all sections of our communities."
Trained network volunteers can help people who are interested in applying for a job with queries about the interview, recruitment examination, fitness test and the medical questionnaire.
If you are interested in joining the police as a constable but are unable to attend the open day, you can call Wallington or Sutton police station,
or call the MPS on 08457 272 212.
Sutton is also offering the opportunity to serve as a volunteer in the special constabulary or within their Community Volunteer Scheme.
If you would like to find out more about this please call on 020 8649 0579.
