A Wandsworth firefighter has celebrated 30 years of service.
Peter Smith, 48, has commuted every day for the past 20 years to Wandsworth Fire Station, East Hill, from Crawley and was a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade for the previous 10 years.
His colleagues presented him with a bronze statuette of a Victorian firefighter.
Mr Smith, who has two sons and a daughter, retires next year and is thinking of setting up a decorating business. He enjoys making home movies and runs the London marathon every year.
