A Southfields primary school has opened a new learning resources centre.
Councillor Malcolm Grimston, cabinet member for education, officially launched the centre at Albermarle School, in Princes Way, on Monday, November 12, to a fanfare played by the group Just Trombones.
Pupils aged between five and 11 now have access to state-of-the-art facilities including a library, video-conferencing and computers.
Headteacher Beryl Pooley said: "Everyone loves going to the centre and it makes learning a pleasure."
She added: "It is a really beautiful centre."
