A Battersea school has improved its results drastically this year according to new league tables, published yesterday (Thursday).
The tables show the proportion of students passing at least five GCSEs at grades A to C at Battersea Technology College rose from six per cent last year to 17 per cent.
And in the past three years, neighbouring St Salesian College's results have climbed steadily from 18 per cent in 1998 to 42 per cent this year.
Results have also improved at Elliot up two per cent, Graveney and Burntwood both up three per cent, and at Chestnut Grove, where results climbed by 12 per cent.
Top of the class was Putney High School with 98 per cent and Ibstock Place with 97 per cent.
Wandsworth's overall percentage in the national average has also risen to 43.2 per cent, compared to 41.6 per cent in 2000.
At A-level, where each grade equates to a points score, Elliot School scored 6.2, Graveney 5.9, closely followed by St Francis Xavier and Burntwood with 5.5.
