Enfield Football Club has been shocked by the death of the club secretary who suffered a heart attack minutes before Saturday's fixture.
Keith Hughes, 67, from Cuffley, was talking to E's manager Tom Loizou prior to kick-off at Chesham United when he collapsed in his arms and later died. See page five for more details.
The club has called off Thursday night's Middlesex Cup fixture out of respect and there is a doubt over Saturday's game at Harrow.
This death capped a bad week for the club, who had their Middlesex Senior Cup first round home fixture against Viking Greenford abandoned through floodlight failure, as they led 6-3.
In a night of high drama, the E's twice came from behind to finish the 90 minutes all square at 2-2, forcing the game into extra time.
Enfield looked to have booked their place in the next round after building up a 6-3 lead in extra time, before the blackout just seven minutes from time.
However the E's did secure a valuable point away at relegation rivals Bedford Town on Tuesday.
Goals from Marvin Walker and George Georgiou saw Enfield gain a 2-2 draw as they twice came from behind.
Enfield should have taken all three points from the game, but they once again failed to take their chances.
