The Sean Hanna hair salon in Worcester Park had its cut of the action recently when it raised more than £480 for charity.
Manager Kim Dudley and her team of five stylists took part in a children's haircut event to raise money for Help a London Child.
The stylists donated a precious day off to offer half-price haircuts for children. Clients were asked to donate £5 to Help a London Child.
With face painting available and the salon filled with balloons, the day was a great success.
And mums weren't neglected either. All parents left with a goody-bag from the salon and a cut and blow dry with a senior stylist was up for grabs.
The idea was dreamt up during one of the salon's team meetings and the stylists jumped at the chance of being involved in the event.
Kim Dudley said: "We were all pleased to support such a worthy cause.
"We were fully booked all day and the clients and the children seemed to enjoy the party atmosphere in the salon."
She added: "We all felt so proud to be able to forward a cheque to Help a London Child.
"We would like to thank all our loyal clients for a great day."
