POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fire work was set off in a Gravesend house causing a large fire to break out.
The attack which happened in Old Road East last Tuesday is being treated as arson and caused £25,000 of damage.
At the scene police founded the remains of a fire work.
It comes in a week when north Kent police were called to 10 incidents where teenagers have opened the front doors of local homes and set off fireworks.
While none of the in-cidents have seriously injured anyone, police are concerned that someone may be hurt in the future.
A spokesman for north Kent police, said: "The misuse of fireworks poses a risk of serious injury and damage, particularly if occupants are asleep upstairs or out when the fireworks are set off."
Anyone with infor-mation should call Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
