GREENWICH Youth Offending Team is looking for volunteers to help with a ground-breaking approach to tackling crime.
Residents aged 18 and over are needed to sit on the new youth offending panels.
Coming into force on April 1, 2002, they will receive referrals from youth courts of first time offenders who plead guilty.
Executive member for community safety Councillor Rajwant Sidhu said: "People from all backgrounds are needed to fulfil this essential role and we want the panels to properly represent the Greenwich communities."
Successful applicants will be given full training, support, and will be expected to contribute up to three hours a month.
Anyone interested in finding out more should call 020 8859 4492.
