VISITORS to Hextable could have to cross their legs, following a decision to demolish the only public toilets in the village.
A spate of vandalism led to the public toilets on the village green being locked and boarded up by Sevenoaks District Council a few months ago.
It now plans to pull them down but there is no sign of the toilets being replaced.
Town Councillor Barbara Wigg said town councillors agreed the toilets should be pulled down but had thought they would be replaced by ones which would be harder to trash.
She said: "We agree with the district council they should be demolished but it is saying it will demolish them and not replace them. We think there should be a public loo in Hextable for visitors."
Failing that, town councillors have called on the district council to at least "make good of the land" with, for example, flower beds so it does not look untidy.
