GRAVESHAM Hackney Carriage Association has blamed changes to bus routes for an accident in which a motorcyclist was flung from his bike.
The 27-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after hitting a bus and being thrown from his bike.
The Gravesend man, who has not been identified, came off his Y-reg Suzuki in New Road, near the junction with Bath Street. He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital and released the next day after being treated for minor injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the smash, which happened at about 5pm on Tuesday, November 20, and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Chairman of Gravesham Hackney Carriage Association Rick Davis says signs in the town centre are insufficient.
But this has been denied by Gravesham Council, which says it will reserve judgement until the investigation is complete.
Mr Davis said: "This was an accident waiting to happen. We warned the council two years ago this sort of thing would happen. Somebody will die if something's not done and it should be looked at again."
Louise Bratton, of Gravesham Council, said: "We have listened to the taxi drivers and some alterations to signs have been made to show no-go areas. The circumstances of this accident haven't been fully investigated."
