A FORTNIGHTLY car boot fare at Axton Chase Secondary School has got the go-ahead from Dartford Council to continue for another year.
The boot fair, which has been running since 1996 at the Main Road, Longfield, school has 100 pitches.
It will be allowed to operate on alternate Saturdays between March 1 and September 30, 2002.
Traders will be allowed to set up at 10.30am and the fair will be open to the public from 2pm to 5pm.
Responding to a complaint from a resident about traffic congestion, a council officer said: "There have been no reported cases of problems with parking or congestion as a result of the boot fair from either Kent police or the council's transport planner.
"I am therefore satisfied that the parking and access arrangements work to mitigate congestion."
Arrangements include three parking attendants in radio-contact directing traffic internally around the site as well as parking signs.
