LIGHTS FANTASTIC: More than 20 Christmas trees will have their lights switched on at a concert on December 8. The Christmas tree festival at Hayes Free Church, Pickhurst Lane, from December 7-16, will be officially launched with festive music and verse from 7.30pm. All proceeds for Demelza House Children's Hospice.
FESTIVE FUN: West Wickham's Christmas party will be held in the High Street on December 7. Starting at 6pm, the fun will include street performances and music from local churches, schools, jazz bands and bagpipes. Meet Father Christmas and pop into local shops for some Christmas refreshments.
IN CONCERT: Get into the spirit of Christmas and enjoy the Beckenham Junior Choir's free Christmas Concert on December 12. The performance begins at 7pm at Beckenham Baptist Church, Elm Road. Refreshments are available afterwards. All welcome.
CAN YOU HELP?: An Orpington woman is set to raise funds for cancer by trekking more than 100km across the Sahara Desert. Jeannine Green must raise £1,900 to complete the challenge for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Anyone who would like to help can call her on 01689 854176.
