A HARLOW mother-of-two has been named McMullen Bar Person of the Year.

Tracey Finch works at the Crusader pub, Roydon, where she regards herself as a "Jill of all trades", doing everything from serving pints to cooking meals in the kitchen.

The award was launched this year to not only improve standards of customer service in the company's pubs but also to boost teamwork and incentivise bar staff to seek training and management opportunities.

Tracey, of Rivermill who wants to become a pub landlady was one of 50 candidates who represented their pub at a one-day hospitality training course. Twelve finalists then attended a two-day British Insitute of Innkeeping Practical Training Advanced Qualification course.

Tracey received the title and a £2,000 holiday. Her manager, Dean Mottershead, receives £1,000.
