Welling United boss Tony Reynolds will fine himself after being "sent off" to the stands by the ref for arguing with the match official during the Wings' 3-2 Dr Martens Premier League home win over Stafford Rangers on Saturday.
Reynolds was annoyed with some of the referee's decisons in a game where striker Gary Abbott announced his return to fitness with two fine goals.
The boss said: "I was frustrated with some of the decisons and will be fining myself. I need to be more disciplined as well as setting an example to the players.
"I felt the the ref thought the spectators came to watch him and not the game and he didn't give any decisions to us."
After the excitement of last week's close AXA FA Cup encounter at Reading, this might have been a run-of-the-mill fixture but it proved to be a thrller
The visitors took the lead through Kiely after 27 minutes, but Abbott equalised six minutes later, before Darren Simkin restored Stafford's lead in the 38th minute.
Dave Powell set up Abbott to level on 54 minutes and a minute later Reynolds was sent to the stands.
But at least Reynolds' dismissal to the stand meant that he had a better view of Powell's brilliant individual match-winner nine minutes from time.
This Saturday, Welling play ground-sharers Erith & Belvedere in the second round of the FA Umbro Trophy. Kick-off 3pm.
