Guru Nanak had a 0-0 draw at home to NPI on Saturday in their Kent County Division Three West match on Saturday.
But it was two points dropped as the Gurus should have been easy winners after they missed a glut of gilt-edged chances.
Jug Sian and Jag Tirwana were denied several times by the NPI goakeeper, but they only had themselves to blame for not ending on the scoresheet as some of their misses were poor efforts.
This weekend, the Gurus are are away to league leaders Tonbridge Invicta.
Guru Nanak Sunday, of the North Kent Sunday Premier League, crashed out of the Senior Cup at the second-round stage to fellow division outfit Welsh Tavern.
The game was perfectly poised at 1-1 until Gurus' Barminder Bains was red-carded after two bookable offences.
The game was never a contest after that, as the one-man disadvantage proved costly.
The Gurus eventually lost
3-1, with a Jess Gill penalty being their sole reward.
The Saturday Reserves, of Gravesend League Division One, also went out in the second round of a cup competition.
They lost 5-1 in the the Mallison Cup to Greenway Reserves, of the Kent Reserve League.
Gurus' new recruit Adeel Hussein scored their consolation in a game where higher league opposition proved to be too much.
Elsewhere, the Gurus' under-12s drew 4-4 with Northfleet Eagles.
Pardip Singh scored twice, with Simon Sahota and Bobby netting the others.
