A SPECIAL Christmas gift is being offered to visitors to Greenwich throughout the festive period and beyond.
From Saturday, December 1, entry to the National Maritime Museum, the Queen's House and the Royal Observatory will be free of charge. And during the first week of the offer, visitors can enjoy tours of the sites with different guides, from museum director Roy Clare to yachtsman Tony Bullimore, and BBC journalist and presenter Libby Purves.
The museum's treasures include the uniform in which Lord Nelson was killed in at Trafalgar, and John Harrison's naval timekeepers, which inspired a Channel 4 documentary the Dava Sobel novel Longitude.
