AN INFANTS' school has celebrated the opening of a new special needs unit.
Alexandra Infants' School in Kent House Road, Beckenham, received £68,000 funding from the Government's Schools Access Fund (SAF) to build two specially-adapted classrooms which will help children with special needs all over the borough. The unit had previously been housed in a mobile hut, but a permanent home now means the school can provide top quality special needs provision for 18 children.
A Bromley Council spokesman said: "We want to ensure teachers and children in Bromley get the best facilities for the autistic spectrum of special educational needs."
