London Towers 98 bt Edinburgh Rocks 74
Kinder London Towers won their second BBL Trophy group match of the campaign with a 98-74 victory over Edinburgh Rocks on Saturday.
Following an even first quarter, which saw the sides level at 28-28, Towers bossed the second period, scoring the opening 13 points, and they led 55-36 at half-time.
The Rocks rallied in the third quarter to trail only 67-60 going into the final 10 minutes.
However, Towers' John White, who lead all scorers with 36 points, hit back-to-back threes early in the fourth, to make the result safe. Brett Eppehimer bagged 18 and Robert Youngblood netted 14 points for the Towers.
Kinder London Towers 92 bt Milton Keynes Lions 89
Kinder London Towers moved within two points of Thames Valley Tigers at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference with a tough 92-89 victory over the Milton Keynes Lions on Wednesday, November 21.
After an even first half the Towers exploded out of the blocks outscoring their visitors 17-3 to take a commanding 69-53 advantage. But the Lions fought back and took the lead in the final quarter at 81-80.
But thanks to some fine work from Terrell Myers, the Towers got back in front and just held on to take the Championship points.
Myers top scored in the game with 27 points. John White and Jeff Kent both bagged 17 points.
