It is currently very fashionable to criticise the National Health Service, and our hospitals, in particular.

I would, therefore, like to redress the balance a little by awarding 'bouquets' to two local hospital departments who have given me, and many others, exemplary service. My first 'bouquet' goes to the Audiology Department of Northwick Park Hospital.

They have given me superb attention because of my hearing loss, making sure I get the best out of my hearing aid.

My second 'bouquet' goes to the Elderly Day Hospital at Colindale Hospital. Here I am receiving physiotherapy for Parkinson's Disease. I am fortunate that in my case, my condition is relatively mild. I am, however, getting considerable benefit from an exercise routine, skilfully prescribed. Again, all the staff are most caring and assist with a wide variety of problems, including those who have suffered strokes and arthritis sufferers. My grateful thanks to both fine hospital departments.
