AN off-licence has been targeted for the third time in as many months by an apologetic thief.
The latest incident happened just after 7.15pm on Tuesday last week when a man walked into the Threshers store in the Avenue, Sunbury demanding cash.
As in previous incidents, which occurred in September and October, he apologised to the staff as he was given £50 from the till.
The robber is 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins, in his late 20s-early 30s, with short cropped fair hair. He was carrying a stonewashed bag the size of a pillow case into which he put the money. A Staines police spokeswoman confirmed that detectives are linking this incident to the two other recent robberies at the premises. Call 01784 450261.
