A 'CASH for Kerbstones' campaign has been launched in Harlow by MP Bill Rammell and county councillor Jenny Holland.
The campaign aims to urge the county council to provide more money to Harlow Council to tackle the backlog of kerbstone repairs in the town.
Mr Rammell said: "I know from speaking with constituents that kerbstones are one of their biggest concerns in Harlow. They are unsightly and dangerous and we need more money to do the repairs. I've been pressing the county council to provide more cash for kerbstone repairs for many months and now our campaign is making progress."
People wanting to get involved with the campaign can sign a petition being taken round Harlow by Labour councillors.
Residents will also be able to add their support at special market stalls in the town centre over the next few weeks.
Councillor Jenny Holland said: "We're launching this petition to involve residents in this fight for more cash for kerbstones. By signing this petition, local people can send a strong message to the Conservatives in County Hall that they want a better funding deal for our town."
