HUNDREDS of television viewers have been caught watching the box without a licence, a new hall of shame has revealed.
Hounslow has entered the TV Licensing hall of shame for a second time this year, taking 16th place in the South East after 929 householders were discovered watching unlicensed TV sets over the past year.
The regional communications manager, Jane Lodge, said: "Evaders in Hounslow should hang their heads in shame at these latest figures.
"It is unfair that the honest majority of people in Hounslow who use TV and have a licence, should suffer the knowledge that some of their fellow citizens have brought the name of the area in to disrepute."
