PIGEONS are continuing to cause a nuisance for commuters at a busy station, prompting new calls for action.
St John's Residents' Association is determined to dislodge the flying vermin from Isleworth's Victorian rail station as part of the final phase of work, which has seen additional CCTV cameras installed and improvements to the roof and guttering.
Hounslow Council has pledged to step up its cleansing regime. Association spokeswoman Marilyn Buekett praised the work so far. "Some general repainting and resurfacing of the platforms will also take place next year," she said.
