Reports of crime in the London Borough of Ealing week after week make very disturbing reading.

Attacks on the very young and the old are a disgrace in any civilised society.

Perhaps our Prime Minister should pause for a minute from his pursuit of terrorists abroad and turn his attention to terror in the suburbs and elsewhere in this country.

For too long, we have been listening to the champions of permissive behaviour.

In too many cases, the punishment does not fit the crime.

Young people get the idea from infancy that they are beyond the law.

Schools lack discipline and our streets are empty of police.

There was a time when one could walk the streets of Ealing during the day and at night in complete safety.
