Old Salvatorians 0 Albanians 1
AFA Middlesex Senior Cup first round
Albanians continue their winning form with a battling performance against Old Salvatorians.
Following a tame, goalless first half, Albanians, with the wind and slope in their favour, applied strong pressure. With 20 minutes left, it paid off when Ivers broke down the right and, while under pressure, dug out an accurate cross from the bye-line for Murphy to head home.
Only brave defending by Heslin, who headed clear from the feet of Salvatorians' centre forward eight yards out, prevented a late equaliser for the home side.
Old Owens 0 EBOG 1
SAL Division One
EBOG pulled off a shock win over high-flying Old Owens at Potters Bar on Saturday.
Michael Dufour scored the winner ten minutes from time. After Mark Bynoe hit a left-footed shot that the keeper could not hold, Dufour swooped to slot the ball in from close range, giving EBOG a hard-earned victory.
Unbeaten in their last five games, EBOG hope to extend the sequence against Norsemen at Alan Drive this weekend.
MH Village 6 Old Woodhouseians 3
SOL Premier Division
Trailing after two minutes, Mill Hill Village stormed to a 6-3 victory that lifted them to third place in the table.
Kevin Jones was man of the match with three magnificent goals. Andy Dale struck twice and Peter Davey completed Village's tally.
