Keeper Paul Jones was the hero of a dramatic 4-3 win by Hendon U13s over Headstone Manor 'B' with two penalty saves in five minutes.
Hendon's 4-1 lead had been slashed to 4-3 when Jones kept out the first spot kick in spectacular style on the hour. He followed that with a repeat and Hendon held on.
After leading 3-1, Hendon U18s went out of the Middlesex Youth Cup when they were hit by a four-goal blast in the last 20 minutes from Edgware Town.
Hendon U16s battled hard in their Harrow Youth League match with Omonia but wasted several chances in a 1-0 defeat.
Hendon U15s routed Acton Ealing Whistlers 11-0. On target were Daniel Johnson (4), Junior Jimbah (3), Aaron Nash-Barker, Daniel Llewellyn, Jimmy Manito and Gregory Ngoyi.
Hendon U14s gained a hard-earned 4-2 win over the Watling Club, Steve Bignall and Harrison Fowle both scored twice.
Continuing their impressive start to the season, Whetstone Wanderers U11 Cougars won 2-0 away to Cassiobury Blue. Their goals came from Tom Bracken and Dean Fallon.
The U11 Pumas went down 4-1 to league leaders London Colney but the U8 Tigers roared to a 3-0 win over Everett Rovers through Arjun Bisht (2) and James Munro.
Tommy Marsh and Athos Papathanasiou were on target for the U9s in their 2-1 away win over Palace Youth, while the U17s figured in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Hertsmere.
Mill Hill Rangers U11s thrashed Greenford Celtic 5-0 but the U10s crashed 7-1 to LNER St Georges, Terry Anderson their sole scorer.
