Barnet Council has produced a Green Paper to improve our town centres (Town plans', Times Group, November 22).
However, it is hypocritical, that on one hand the council wants to encourage people to shop locally, but on the other hand, it has given permission for the Brent Cross extension (by one-third), which will have a further detrimental impact on our local town centres and communities.
