AFTER the closure of Loughton pool for redevelopment, Epping Forest District Swimming Club has had to book sessions at six other pools in order to provide training facilities for it's members.
This has incurred the club in extra expense, but with Epping Council's grant of £4,000 keeping the club going, the club is set to return to the new Loughton pool when it opens next year.
Boasting over 200 members, the club has recently won back-to-back Speedo Galas and is aiming this year for promotion in the league.
With three swimmers competing in the National finals held earlier in the year at Sheffield, the club is proud to be developing competitive swimming in the area with the district council.
