Kingstonian manager Steve Sedgley is confident his young side can transfer their promising league form into the cup success.

Tomorrow Ks turn their attention to FA Trophy action when they take on Dr Martens Western Division strugglers Cirencester Town at Kingsmeadow.

Sedgley and his number two, Kim Harris, have led Ks to one defeat in seven Ryman Premier League contests.

Sedgley says there will be no extra pressure on his players despite the fact Ks won the FA Trophy under Geoff Chapple in 1999 and 2000.

The players and everyone else takes each game as it comes, he said.

The league is important as is every game we play. The players are still learning. Its important we continue to enjoy our football.

Embarrassment

Cirencester are an unknown quantity to Sedgley who says his players will determined to avoid a similar embarrassment to their FA Cup defeat Brockenhurst.

This is an important game for us, he added. I havent been to watch them, but I know they are at the bottom of their division.

Ive heard they are a good footballing side so it should be an interesting game.

For both sides this is a big game. We want to do well and continue to improve.

James Pinnock, who has a knee injury, and David Sadler, who has a thigh strain, are struggling to make tomorrows match.

We got no new injuries on Tuesday night, added Sedgley. James and David are still the only two.

Eddie Saunders, Mark Boyce and Steve Brown, three of the eight players released by Ks in October have each found new clubs.

Saunders has linked up with Chapple at Woking, Boyce has signed for Chesham United, and Brown has joined Purfleet.

Kingstonian secretary Graham Richards confirmed all three have completed their moves.

Steve McKimm is another player poised to make a permanent move, with his three month loan spell almost completed at Gravesend & Northfleet.

Ks have been drawn against Walton & Hersham in the fourth round of the Surrey Senior cup fourth round.

The game will take place at Kingsmeadow on January 22, kick off 7.45pm.
