IT MAY be the end of the season, but Gravesend sailors have proved they can still put their backs into some hard work.
Thirty cruisers were lifted out of the canal basin by a 50 ton crane for a winter re-fit.
Steven Davies of Gravesend Sailing Club said: "Several teams of people were needed to make it run smoothly, not forgetting the caterers who kept us all fed."
The boats will be stored in the club yard ready to be repaired, cleaned and maintained for next year. For more information about the club's activities, visit www.gravesendsc.org.uk or call 01322 386925.
