I am a 24-year-old Australian and have discovered new possibilities in life through a course called the Landmark Forum.
I am having a Christmas party at the Tramshed in Tooting Broadway on Friday, December 14. The community group I am targeting is Antipodeans/travellers living in south-east London.
The party will be held in aid of the Great Ormond Street charity for terminally ill children. Each year the children make a paper chain, and this year I want to raise £1,000 and have 1,000 links signed and passed to the children. I am asking guests to donate £2 each and sign a link.
This year I would like to help the children in their quest to make a paper chain many miles long, and have named the project Smiles. I know the children will enjoy making the chain, as much as we will enjoy the party.
In essence, we travellers can come together and celebrate Christmas away from home, whilst raising money and giving hope to those less fortunate than us.
