I was recently in Tooting Parking Shop buying £1 visitor parking permits for use by my visitors. I happened to pick up a copy of Wandsworth Parking News and read an article on the back page.
This informed me: "Ten free one hour resident visitors permits are available to all resident permit holders".
I returned to Tooting Parking Shop and was told I couldn't get these passes over the counter. I had to write off for them.
How many resident permit holders know they are entitled to the free, one-hour, visitor permits worth £10? No one told me - I just read an article I came across.
I think all resident permit-holders should be told of their entitlement to the 10 free visitors permits when they apply for their resident permits. Also, they should be easily available across the counter at parking shops.
I hope this letter will inform other residents of what they are entitled to.
