A group of lollipop men swapped the streets of Wandsworth for the stage of the Dominion Theatre on Monday, when they performed for Her Majesty the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
Denis Leahy, Edmund Lucid, Alfred Robinson and Bisram Garney joined members of the armed forces, beefeaters, Chelsea pensioners and comedian Julian Clary, for a rendition of the song, Stout Hearted Men.
Before marching onto the stage, the four crossing patrollers rubbed shoulders with stars including Jennifer Lopez, Cher and Cilla Black.
Mr Lucid told the News: "It was very exciting to be on the same stage with all these celebrities.
"One minute I was standing next to Vinnie Jones and the next it was Jimmy Tarbuck."
