Leatherhead Swimming Club members took a national title and a silver medal from the British Modern Biathlon Championships in Sheffield last weekend.
James Lock, 16, from Ashtead, finished fourth in the 2000m run and fifth in the 200m swim. This gave him a second place on 2,268 points, four points behind the winner.
Mark Inkester, 10, from Epsom, finished in first position of the 1000m run and ninth in the 50m swim to score 2,042 points, 50 more than his nearest rival.
