A Balham primary school held a day of rap to celebrate national poetry day and launch black history month.
Alderbrook School, in Oldridge Road, welcomed rapper and musician, Juice Aleem, who ran workshops for children aged nine to 11 to enable them to perform their own rap songs.
He also gave a performance of his own work.
Juice came to the school through the Poets in Education Scheme, co-ordinated at Battersea Arts Centre by poetry collective, Apples and Snakes.
