In a concert that ended like biggest, hottest, sweatiest disco in town at Fairfield, Errol Brown proved he's Still Sexy .
That's the title of his new album, which caused him some embarrassment, he claimed the title was his record producer's idea not his writes Christine van Emst.
However his adoring fans, that provided the hormonal haze and raised temperatures would not disagree with that tag.
Errol, slight and immaculately elegant in a black shirt and white suit, delivered, in his distinctive and resonant voice, new songs and old ones that raised the roof.
But before you go thinking that it was an audience of mature, highlighted heads and bat-wing waving arms, there was a whole army of young fans mixed in with the over-excited oldies.
As the strobe started the audience was up and running. Of the new material we heard some pieces that made the new album look worth investigating.
Especially poignant was his version of Whitney Houston's Your Love is My Love.
This number gave the backing vocalists Sheena and Karen McSween a chance to shine.
The encore gave us the new re-mixed Heaven's In the Back Seat of My Cadillac 2001; sure to be a winner when it's re-leased in November as a single from the album.
